Alexander Kolowrat

Count Alexander Sascha Joseph von KolowratKrakowsky , was an Americanborn Austrian film producer of BohemianCzech descent. A pioneer of Austrian cinema, he founded the first major film studio SaschaFilm in Vienna.

He was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, the son of Count Leopold Philipp von KolowratKrakowsky and his wife Nadine Freiin von HuppmannValbella , the daughter of a Saint Petersburg cigarette manufacturer. He had three siblings Bertha, Friedrich and Heinrich.
